The Career Advisory Service

For six years the Career Advisory Service has assisted students and graduates in searching for interesting work placements and jobs; its main responsibility is to prepare students for a more and more demanding labour market.

The Career Advisory Service cooperates with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the Regional Labour Office in Warsaw and other student career advisory services throughout Poland. It helps both students and graduates plan their career paths and also prepare documents required in the recruitment process ( CV, covering letter, references).

The Service offers its database about work placements and jobs, cooperates with employment agencies, provides information about what requirements and expectations employers have towards trainees and future employees. Chodkowska University is an academic partner of many companies, organizations and institutions, among them international corporations, advertising agencies, publishing houses, offices, law offices, courts, foundations and associations.

On the Service’s website one can find current offers of work placement and jobs, information about the labour market, and also experts’ comments and specialists’ advice.

The Career Advisory Service has observed that many people after their work placement receive job offers from their employer. It is excellent proof that our students are highly valued as prospective employees.

The Service continually interacts with over 200 companies and institutions. This cooperation means not only offers of work placements and jobs for our students and our graduates but also provides an opportunity to have contacts with prominent experts, as well as organization of common conferences and seminars.

Career Advisory Service is co-organizing the fourth Academic Labor Fair "Jobbing”.

The CAS continually cooperates with Internet portals and services which support the recruitment process and with those which give advice how to start and effectively manage one’s own firm. It is particularly interesting to those students who are seriously considering taking up independent economic activity. These students also receive additional support in planning their own business through meetings with entrepreneurs organized by Chodkowska University in the form of lectures and workshops.

The CAS also arranges for professional job advisors to be available for specified periods.

Professional consultations are provided for those students who:

  • are looking for a job
  • are facing a career choice
  • are looking for new professional goals
  • want to plan their career
  • are dissatisfied with their current job.

Numerous workshops and presentations relating to the labour market and helping find professional opportunties are very popular with students.
