The realization of the curriculum necessary to obtain an MA degree in Law in Chodkowska University will give the graduate the legal knowledge of being acquainted with the principles of law, of mastering the skill of applying and enforcing the law, but also familiarizing themselves with the basic elements of general humanistic education. By realizing the model of a program which teaches thinking based on legal and general humanistic knowledge helps – thanks to the individualization of the program – to develop one’s own interests and ensures every graduate proper preparation for successfully practicing their job as a lawyer, but also creates conditions for undertaking legal research. These studies not only educate one to work in the judiciary but also as specialists in other important areas of life – the national economy, government and local administration, social relations (social benefits, social insurance and medical care), culture and national education as well as in the foreign service, including specialists in international law, as Polish employees in institutions cooperating with foreign bodies.

Graduate Profile
Law graduates have learned the foundations of law in accordance with European standards. Apart from compulsory subjects students have a wide choice of subjects covering different legal fields, for example, customs law, diplomatic and consular law, transport law. international judiciary, budget law, construction law, forensic medicine, psychology.
Law students’ theoretical knowledge acquired through lectures and classes can be reinforced through student work placement. It is administrative, penal and civil training undergone in carefully selected institutions, among others, in government and local administration organs, organizational units of the judiciary, as well as in different specialized law firms.
Students in their final years can also acquire experience working in the Student Office for Legal Advice which provides free legal aid to those who don’t have the necessary financial resources as well as raises legal awareness of society. While working in this office, students - assisted by their supervisors - write legal opinions, case documents, appeals, and complaints.
Law graduates receive the foundation necessary to qualify for an apprenticeship to become an advocate, a legal advisor, a judge, a prosecutor, a notary public, a sheriff, as well as the qualifications necessary to work in other public institutions in government, local administrations and EU institutions, depending on their chosen specialty.
