Studying in the Finance and Accounting Faculty is aimed at acquiring the necessary knowledge about the functioning of financial institutions and markets, specially concerning the commercial banks sector. Students, apart from knowledge of basic economic subjects will also gain knowledge of strictly financial subjects, such as the basics of finance, banking, the banking system in Poland and the EU, crisis management, monitoring capital markets, and the stock exchange. They will learn tools and how to make a financial analysis, read and interpret financial documents and statements, analyze basic economic phenomena, including risk, and economic financial stituations of economic, budgetary and local government units as well as give an opinion on analyzed issues. These studies teach students also to understand the cause and effect of economic phenomena occurring at micro and macro-economic levels under the conditions of an open market economy.

Graduate Profile
The graduate of the Finance and Accounting Faculty will acquire knowledge in the core part of economic phenomena of which finance is. They will learn the essence, the purpose and goals of accounting, the functioning of banks and other important financial institutions important to the economy (among others, stock exchange, insurance industry). They will acquire the skill of analyzing major economic phenomena and economic financial situations of economic entities.
They will understand not only the underlying causes but also the effects of such phenomena occurring both in micro- and macro-economies – under the conditions of the economy called “open” or “global”. They will also be able to analyze them.
Finance and Accounting graduates can continue their studies in the MA Management program choosing a finance specialty.
