Administration

Administration studies prepare students to perform functions in a wide variety of administrative positions. During their studies students become familiar with administrative, judicial adminstrative law and learn the principles of its interpretation. Chodkowska University offers a curriculum which gives general knowledge of social science, especially of law and administration as well as basic economic knowledge. The curriculum helps prepare graduates for innovative solutions for modern problems of state administration, Polish local government, and EU member states.

Students also will get acquainted with the principles and rules regulating activities of services responsible for maintaining public order, will broaden their knowledge of public security, activities of the public administration to counteract crisis, will acquire knowledge about the regulations of European Community law and the functioning of European institutions, which will help them find attractive employment in government institutions and enterprises involved in international cooperation. The studies will also give adequate preparation to those administration graduates who will decide to work in business in their future professional life. The knowledge of socio-economic problems will help them to participate in creatingprojects of economic ventures including investment projects, financed from external resources; and the ability and skill necessary to manage these projects.

Graduate Profile

Administration studies are directed to people who plan a professional career in government and local administration structures. Graduates will be prepared to work in government, economic and local administration and those entitities which are controlled by it:medical care units, school administration, customs. Thanks to their acquired education they can hold positions in government and territorial government administrations, Polish Parliament administration, the President’s Office, and the Supreme Chamber of Control. They will also be able to find employment in mid- and high-level administration in international institutions and organizations particularly in the EU.

Graduates will also be qualified to work in public offices, agencies, funds, foundations, and other public organizational units providing public services or managing public property, enterprises (state, local government and private), non-governmental organizations collaborating with public administration in realization of social goals, in advisory firms, for which government and local government administrations are the clients. Graduates will also be prepared to work in SMEs.

Administration students can choose one of the three following specializations:

  • Public Order Administration
  • European Administration
  • Economic Administration
